Welcome to Blazing Swan 2026, Takes a Village

The Blazing Swan annual event is dedicated to RADICAL SELF-EXPRESSION and RADICAL SELF-RELIANCE for seven days of community over the Easter Long Weekend, from Wednesday 1st April 2026 (noon) to Tuesday 7th April 2026 (noon)

Blazing Swan is an official Burning Man Regional Event. We practice DECOMMODIFICATION, placing ourselves and our relationships at the centre of our own lives, GIVING and receiving openly, being IMMEDIATELY present, and acknowledging that everything we have ever accomplished, everything we will ever accomplish, only happens through COMMUNAL EFFORT. We will be RADICALLY EXPRESSIVE and RADICALLY INCLUSIVE and ask only of ourselves and others that we respect and value each other and practice kindness and caring. Blazing Swan is not a spectator event. Every participant is a performer, every act is a performance. Find your best self, your creative self, and play it out on the stage that is Blazing Swan.

Blazing Swan gives absolute priority to CONSENT, CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY and LEAVING NO TRACE. When you purchase a ticket you sign-up to say you understand what all these things mean, and you will follow our rules which are there to keep everyone safe. People do ask, “Why do you have so many rules? More than any other event I’ve ever been to!” It’s because we care. And a week in the Australian outback is not a naturally safe space. Be prepared. Read the Ticket FAQ and the Event FAQ on the Website, read the Survival Guide, read about the Principles and our Statement of Inclusion. Get your head around our Blazing Swan Tickets and Event Attendance Terms and Conditions. PARTICIPATION and CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY starts here.

Special thanks to Timmy Howe for this year’s beautiful artwork.

What else should I know ?

You’ll find the answers to almost everything if you follow the leads we’ve given to you on this page.  IF you have looked down all those rabbit holes and STILL can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to contact us.   We’ll wrap up this page with three special reminders:

One.  Our Blazing Swan Event is subject to all State Laws and regulations.  This is consistent with our Principle of Civic Responsibility.  Police can and will patrol the Event site.   Blazing Swan will not encourage any activity that breaches the law and we will comply, and require our attendees to comply, with all relevant Health and Safety regulations.

Two.  Blazing Swan takes Consent very seriously.  It is one of our Principles, and it is an absolute requirement of all our Event attendees.

Three.  Blazing Swan is not just an Event that happens out in the ‘bush’.  We see the Kulin, Njaki Njaki and Wheatbelt communities as our special friends and allies.  We have been invited into these communites and we hope that all of our Event participants will see not just the magic in our Event, but also the magic in these modern and ancient communities.
